    SURVIVOR - OUTWIT OUTLAST OUTPLAY

Once again OB's daredevil youngsters pitted themselves against the elements in our annual 'Survivor' event.

There was a great turnout in the Seniors (u/12 - u/17s) division with 18 hardy souls, despite the atrocious weather. The IRB relay was extremely popular as always, however the Titans made it hard for themselves when they washed in halfway down the beach and had to carry their IRB all the way back.

There was some great teamwork shown in the board/patrol uniform relay and if there's ever a beach sprint held that involves wearing flippers, then Matt, you're the man! Other events were the Chezel chisel, True/False, and buried treasure hunt (one day someone is going to dig up the beach and wonder what all the blue cups are – however most were found).

The juniors division had a great time starting with the weetbix/balloon event, Mitch proving adept at munching down a dry weetbix in record time. In the water, the IRB/bodyboard relay was impressive with Jordan revealing he has a motor arms as well as motor legs!! A tricky shore dumpmade for some oooohs and aaaahs.

In the Juniors the Titans and the Immortals tied, whilst in the Seniors, the Titans were triumphant. Look forward to seeing you all next year!
